Hi beauty lovers!  (Thank gosh for a short week and hellooo weekends!)

Today I want to share with you my Autumn skincare favourites review! Introducing from the Ego Pharmaceuticals range: Elucent Whitening Exfoliating Cleanser & Elucent Whitening Hand Cream.

Based on my experiences of using the whitening cleanser and the whitening hand cream, I feel that they're quite effective products in terms of whitening for me and it simply looks amazing for the products itself. I have feint pigmentation on my face which is caused by the hot Australian sun, so I'd thought why not give this a go and see if my sun spots fade. The result? Yes it is effective through gradual use of applying. Plus there's a whitening hand cream so this was also different for me because with most of the other hand creams I have used so far, they don't contain the whitening formula.

So why should you consider a whitening based product? Because it's actually a good thing that you're wanting to lighten up and even out your skin tone. For me I just wanted to feel better in my skin and have greater confidence when I step outside. With excessive sun exposure, this can lead to skin pigmentation which increases the growth of melanin. Melanin is what darkens the skin causing discolouration. If not treated, it can leave skin looking older than usual.

I'll start off by getting right into the Elucent Whitening Exfoliating Cleanser.

"Consumer testing was conducted on 50 female subjects. 86% had brighter skin at 4 weeks while using a combination of Elucent Whitening Exfoliating Cleanser, Elucent Whitening Day Moisturiser and Elucent Whitening Night Moisturiser. By week 12, 96% of participants had brighter skin."
It's an exfoliating facial cleanser that contains whitening benefits for your skin. It contains emblica fruit extract which acts to even out and tighten the skin. It also has Vitamin C to gradually fade any discolouration that you might have; Vitamin E which basically increases your skin's elasticity; safflower seed oil which enables the brightening of the skin, greatly moisturises your skin and lastly Vitamin E where it restores your skin to look smoother, brighter and feeling balanced.

The cleanser works by gently exfoliating to remove any impurities that you may have on your skin. The exfoliating beads are quite gentle and tiny so it is not too harsh on your skin and additionally it's blended with soap free cleansers and moisturisers which acts to remove any dead skin cells so it can restore your skin to looking supple and healthy without drying out.

Throughout my week of testing out the whitening cleanser, I've found noticeable changes to my skin tone colour. In a way, it looked brighter and better. Before my skin had visible freckles and sun age spots which I don't really like and I always find myself using concealer to cover up - but now since it's been a week, I have found that it has presented my skin with a whitening hue of which I can easily the difference. If your overall desire is to achieve a whitening effect, then I definitely recommend you to get this product as it really works from my personal experience.

After use, my skin tone felt evened out, brighter, moisturised and I didn't feel that my pores were clogged. The cleanser is non-comedogenic friendly. Over a week, I did not have to use that much foundation to brighten up my skin. I am really impressed with this product and I would definitely stock up on Elucent's beauty range.

The packaging itself is distinguishable for the Elucent range, it sort of reminded me of a simple Tiffany and Co box. I love the colours of aqua and white combined! The packaging it was held in was quite durable.. it had an opaque, pearly texture on the front which is basically the product's consistency colour. I would describe the consistency to be of a sparkly and pearly cream. (Truth is I couldn't stop staring at how pretty it looked!)  The tube of 150ml came in a flip-top bottle where you can just simply flip it open and expect the product to come out without it being too messy.

How did the product feel? Well upon squeezing out the contents, I made sure to give it a good shake to the bottle and I felt the consistency to be runny. It had a nice pearly and sparkly colour to it and it felt smooth when applying it onto my face. In fact, you do not need a lot to cleanse the face, just a small dot of about 1.5cm in diameter. It's definitely easy to use, I gently massaged the product in circular motion onto my damp skin morning and night ensuring that I rinse off all of the residue.

In the long run, I can definitely see myself using this to even out my skin tone. It's not too thick and feels so smooth when using the product so I am impressed with Elucent's range.

Overall, I'd give this cleanser a 4.5/5 stars!

My next experience among the Elucent skincare range is the Whitening Hand Cream
It's a really nourishing hand cream which is formulated to brighten your hands throughout daily usage. It has all the needed benefits just like the cleanser but this time it has a thicker consistency to the hand cream product. For me, I felt this quickly absorbed into my skin and my hands felt really hydrated and brighter too.

I've noticed my hands to be more hydrated and brighter throughout a week of using this hand cream. It was not sticky or greasy so I felt I could apply this sporadically throughout the day. My hands felt smoother and firmer after using and I can definitely see myself opting for the Elucent's Whitening Hand Cream for a change.

The product was thicker in consistency and this is because it's formulated to work by moisturising the hands by giving it the much needed benefits of maximum brightening effect. It's very easy to use this product as you can just gently massage the cream onto your hands throughout the day.

Overall, I enjoyed using this hand cream and I am giving this a 4.5/5 stars!
