GOODNESS NATURAL BEAUTY LAB - CERTIFIED ORGANIC CHIA SEED OIL + EVERY MORNING MOISTURISER BEAUTY REVIEW !

HELLO BEAUTIES!

Wow, I can't believe I stumbled across this brand, Goodness - Natural Beauty Lab. They're a bunch of people turning Mother Nature into skincare which is very beneficial for your skin. The great aspect of it all is that it's also super affordable. They do not condone to animal testing at all which is awesome to hear. The products are all made bio-degradable, packages are recyclable and best of it all - the product gives you healthier looking skin.

My first impression of the product range is that they came in adorable baby pink packaging. The information listed on the packaging is not generic and in fact it's so informative, interesting and so clever. For example, I turned over the Goodness Certified Organic Chia seed oil and the box read:
"Your best looking skin? I'll make light work of it. I wear my organic certification with pride and know I've got the balance of omega 3 to omega 6 essential fatty acids just right. But it's not all about me. Actually, I'm here for you."
I have tried and tested out the new products and they include:
  • Goodness - Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil
  • Goodness - Every Morning Moisturiser
So scroll below to check out my thoughts about the Goodness beauty products. x

Goodness - Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil

Who knew that Chia seeds taste so healthy and delicious AND can also benefit your skin. Well plant oils have been variously experimented with in the beauty laboratories all over the world and it's amazing to see what they can develop.. namely the Certified Organic Chia Seed oil. I'm sure we've all used the rosehip oils at some point in our life but it's great to know that there's another type of certified plant oil which can also give us great looking skin. Goodness Natural beauty lab were actually the first company to launch the Certified Chia seed oil in New Zealand and have embedded this ingredient among their other skincare range.

When we think of Chia seeds, we think of a super food. Now when it's in an oil base - that's even better because it's so lightweight and less viscous for a super type of oil. The Chia Seed Oil has winning ratio 3:1 of omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids. Combined with these omega type of acids it delivers a perfect balance to your skin which promotes anti inflammatory support, hydration and nourishment. It's the essential fatty acids of the Chia Oil which delivers minerals, B-vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants to the skin.

I would use this mostly at night but I have tried using it in the morning right before make-up. It actually goes well under make-up because the oil would really absorb into the skin without leaving a residue. My face felt so moisturised and I didn't seem to get any dry flaky patches when I applied my usual foundation and concealer over it. My skin also felt really silky and very nourished the next morning whenever I used the oil at night. My complexion overall had a more radiant and brighter glow. I can't fault this product because it has essentially made my skin feel even more nourished and hydrated. This is so useful for a cold seasonal change because the weather tends to influence how my skin feels and looks. I am so glad I tried this Chia Seed Oil out because it's different and the best thing of it all is that it works.

The Chia Seed Oil is totally solvent-free from the extraction process. There also has been no tampering with the product which means there's no artificial preservatives, colour or fragrance.

The product is presented in 20ml bottle with a drip and drop cap. To simply use, pat around 2-3 drops of the Chia seed oil onto the skin 1-2 times a day. It's very easy to use and full of natural botanical goodness. To fit this into my daily routine, morning and night would be so easy because all it takes is patting the oil onto my face. Overall it's a 5/5 full stars for me!

Goodness - Every Morning Moisturiser

So the Chia Seed oil won my heart over, I decided to also test out their Goodness - Every Morning Moisturiser. So for this product the description goes by this:
"Imagine smooshing all the goodness of a fresh fruit smoothie into your face. I've saved the yumminess, but I am heaps easier to use. With all the nourishing goodness of bilberry and hibiscus extracts, chia seed, avocado and coconut oils, I do the hydrating heavy lifting.."
This product does smell like a fresh berry smoothie. I can't get over the fragrance because it's so pleasant to smell. The moisturiser made my skin feel very hydrated and moisturised. My complexion looked very healthy and so this is suitable to be worn under make-up. Of the ingredients provided in the moisturiser, makes this product really worthwhile to use because it's almost organic and natural. It's full of natural botanical goodness which means nothing harsh has been added to this. There's also the same ratio of 3:1 omega 3 to omega 6 of fatty acids present in the moisturiser - making your skin feel more balanced, having less redness on the face and also feeling very nourished.

I applied this moisturiser every day in the morning as my first skin care routine. It really absorbed well onto my skin and left no residue or stickiness to it. Also, the moisturiser dried really quickly and it felt very matte too. Overall, it was pleasant product to use because I am always looking for a moisturiser that can keep my skin really hydrated. Definitely a 5/5 stars for me.

POSITIVES:
  • After using, skin looks more nourished and moisturised.
  • Great to be worn under make-up.
  • Day wear.
  • Don't forget to wear sunscreen on-top of the moisturiser.
  • Has perfect ration 3:1 ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 essential fatty acids.
NEGATIVES:
  • Zilch.
BEAUTY TIPS:
  • Apply to clean face.

Something interesting that caught my eye, I really had to share with you...

I could not help but take a picture of their information leaflet! How cute is that? You know those generic information leaflets that are folded so small that you're thinking what on earth are these non-sense looking notes? Well.. Goodness Natural beauty lab are so clever and witty that they've made this more personal and fun to read. I was laughing so hard when I read this cute information leaflet because I was expecting small texts in different kinds of languages! Good one Goodness!

I hope you enjoyed this post about the Goodness skincare products.

Happy reading all!

Cheers,
Livia xo
