I hope you're all well and rested x

I am a fan of hair oils which are enriched with certified organic argan oil and antioxidants. Having long hair comes with high maintenance. It's prone to hair breakages, split ends, frizziness and ultimate dryness when you constantly rely on heat stylers such as your blow hair dyer and the trusty hair straightener. I tend to use oils to revamp and renew my hair to it being soft and nourished again. The oils present in the BHAVE RIOT CONTROL OIL, have ultimately made my hair more strengthened with reduced frizz. I felt my hair being so nourished and I noticed my hair becoming smooth and has more of an added shine to it.

The BHAVE Riot control oil looks to restore shine and increase manageability to all hair types - specifically designed for colour treated and damaged hair. What you'll find about using the riot control oil is that it looks to nourish, smooth and add more shine to your hair. After washing my hair, I would apply the oil to my damp hair making sure that I am avoiding the roots.(You don't want oily hair!)

Next, I will look to blow dry my hair until it's completely dry. I love this product and the rest of the BHAVE haircare range because they're completely free from any parabens, sulphates and sodium chloride. Argan oil is high in Vitamin E which is very healthy for your hair and so this is what is needed for it to grow stronger and healthier. After using the oil, I just enjoyed how shiny and soft my hair felt and looked. I didn't even need to go to the hair salon to fix my dry and split ends. I would just rub an adequate amount (one pump) of oil throughout my hair and then look to blow dry it. I would say it is best to use this on damp hair because it actually is easier to style your hair afterwards. Also, if you haven't heard of the brand BHAVE, they're an Australia brand who creates safe and gentle products to use on hair and also never tested on animals. Their range of products are ALL FREE from any parabens, sulphates and sodium chloride.

When I first saw the product, it was presented in a 100ml fancy pump sized-silver type of bottle. You can see the liquid or oil through the side window which is ideal if you want to keep an eye on how much you have left. The product itself is definitely on the luxurious side and somewhat reminds me of a fancy type of hair mist or spray. The pump at the top dispenses the product quite easily and there's no issues trying to get the product onto your hands. I found the riot control serum to be of a clear consistency and had a pleasant fragrance to the oil. The smell would usually disappear once you rub it through your hair and it would just absorb into your hair. The smell of the oil reminds me of a sweet vanilla aroma, which is seriously addictive! (I need to smell more of it) Only a small amount goes a long way for the serum and you would only need to use this on your hair ends. (Don't go overboard in rubbing this ALL over your hair!)

I would use the Riot Control oil when I am wanting an intense conditioning treatment to my hair and I've noticed my hair looking more dry and unruly. It's definitely useful and convenient to use and if you're in a rush - this can be embedded into your usual hair routine. Also, if you're looking for smoothing of the hair, it certainly does an excellent role in reducing any frizz you may have. The serum is quite runny because it's supposed to be a type of oil. Since it's a type of oil, use a little amount so that it can lightly absorb on your hair ends. I love the results the Riot Control oil has given to my hair. My hair is definitely more shinier and smoother. One pump is adequate enough for one treatment. My hair is stronger than before. Before, my hair was prone to breakages and I kept getting so many split ends... and since using the Riot Control oil, my hair is looking much healthier and feeling stronger. Overall, you need to have this in your bathroom because it's good to treat your ends and make your hair feel more nourished. It's a 5/5 stars for me.

  • Reduces your frizz and dryness.
  • Looks to strengthen and nourish your hair.
  • Smooths your hair.
  • Adds some shine to your hair.
  • Applied onto damp hair before blow-drying.

  • Zilch

  • Only use a small amount onto the ends of your damp hair. Blow dry and style your hair as normally.

  1. Yay I'm glad you really like it. I think it could end up becoming an HG product for me at some stage and you're totally right about not using too much of it - a little truly goes a long way and I've found that out the hard way a few times. It's also nice to put a little in your hair in between washes, especially if your ends are feeling dry. I generally use one pump pre-blow drying, then maybe half a pump afterwards just so my ends don't feel fried. Smells wonderful too. Everyone needs a bottle of this stuff!

You can also purchase it online from Alive Skin & Hair (it's a bit cheaper) - here's the link: http://www.aliveskinhair.com.au/bhave-riot-control-serum
