So...it was my first time trying out Lush's fresh face mask and what made me so interested in this product is that it's super packed with fresh fruits, veggies, butters, clay and all of the fine oils present in the face mixture. LUSH face masks do NOT contain any preservatives so this makes it a very gentle face mask to use on skin. I was so excited to try this out because I am a big fan of face masks and cleansing the skin very well. You want to look your best with fresh skin, every time!

The fresh face masks are so 'fresh' that they are kept in the fridge to preserve its longevity throughout the three weeks till it expires. So how I would use the face mask is to ensure that I cleanse my face very well with a good scrub or cleanser. Next, I will smooth a generous layer over my skin, ensuring that I avoid the eye delicate areas. I left the mask on for a good 15 minutes until I used lukewarm water to wash off. Although, when washing off the mask, I made sure to gently massage my skin to ensure I get that deep cleanse off the seaweed bits present in the BB Seaweed face mask.

So for those curious about the BB Seaweed Face mask, it's been specifically created so that people with sensitive skin can also use this product. This means that it's also perfect for those with sensitive skin and where you want to achieve the smooth and soothing effects from using this particular face mask. I love seaweed as in ingredient, you can snack on it or use it when making your fresh sushi Californian rolls! Now.. imagine seaweed in your face mask! It's packed with lots of nutrients that are definitely healthy for your skin which helps to nourish your skin. There's also fine grounds of almonds present in the face mask which helps to exfoliate the skin leaving it silky smooth. I also noticed there was some bits of aloe vera gel and rose absolute which really looks to calm and soothe out any sensitive spots on your skin. Not only does it look to calm and soothe out your skin, but also it can help to keep it super moisturised from the combination of olive oil and honey.

But to get to the point of why I simply love this face mask is because everything is 100% natural guys! It's also handmade by the lovely LUSH company and definitely 100% vegetarian! I chose this face mask to try out first because I was curious of how my skin would benefit from using this. When I was in the LUSH store, the lovely LUSH assistant actually helped me to make this choice as we tested two different types on both of my hands. After testing these out on my hand, I noticed my hand looking visibly brighter and hydrated hence I opted for the BB Seaweed face mask! I will definitely head back into stores to check out more of their other face masks.

What you'll find about the LUSH BB Seaweed face mask is that it's a really relaxing and reviving, mineral-rich mask which helps to really cleanse and soften your skin. I felt my skin feeling super soft and gentle after using this mask and it definitely does wonders to look to assist your skin in looking soft and youthful. I love how LUSH have combined the sea inspiration to really contain fresh seaweed and seaweed absolute. It also contains kaolin, antiseptic honey, aloe vera and rose absolute as previously discussed - so with all of these elements combined, makes it a very nutrient-rich type of face mask. So ladies and gentlemen, if you're looking for a mask that can soften and moisturise your skin, check this BB Seaweed mask out.

The BB Seaweed mask comes in 60g pots which can last up to 3 weeks when left refrigerated between uses. It's awesome that it's kept cold so it goes on your face really fresh with each new application. The mask needs to be refrigerated but it can go without refrigeration for about 5 hours but I'd say as soon as you get it, pop it into the refrigerator. The face mask had a lovely rose type of smell which reminded me of a rose mist. I also noticed the chunks of seaweed that was in the mixture of the mask, but that didn't concern me because being all natural is all about seeing what's in the product.
When applying the face mask, it was a thick application which is what I like for a deep cleanse. You can also look to apply a thin layer by not getting too much product from the mask, just a small finger sized amount is adequate enough. The mask also dries clear so after when 10-15 minutes is up, be sure to use warm water to massage out the the face mask from your skin. You'll find that if the water isn't warm enough, then it may not easily be removed, so I recommend using warm water all the way!

The mask is so gentle for those with sensitive skin. I instantly saw my face becoming more brighter and felt very moisturising. Once you touch your skin, you'll notice it's like having super soft baby skin. I found no redness or irritations from using the face mask so it certainly worked on my skin. Overall for a natural face mask, it is definitely a 5/5 stars for me!

  • Great for those with sensitive, normal and combination skin.
  • Great moisturising benefits.
  • Au natural 100%
  • 100% vegan.
  • Handmade
  • Fighting animal testing.
  • Zilch!
  • Use lukewarm water to rinse off the face mask.
  • Massage in circular motions with lukewarm water when rinsing off.
