ANTIPODES LIPPIE REVIEWS FEAT. THEIR NATURAL LIPSTICK (APRIL SUN IN CUBA) + ORGANIC LIP BALM (LIME LEAF & COCOA BUTTER) !

 ALOHA BEAUTIES!

Who's ready for a lippie fun filled review? I know I am :) I know I've revolved some of my posts around the Antipodes brand, but only because they're organic, natural and most of all  - I love the quality of their skincare and beauty products. For those who missed out on my other Antipodes review, you can look to check it out HERE and HERE where I talk about what other products from their range have helped my skin look and feel much healthier.

For the TWO Antipodes lippie I wanted to talk to you guys about is of the following:
  • Antipodes Natural Lipstick in April Sun in Cuba.
  • Antipodes Organic Lip Balm in Lime Leaf and Cocoa Butter.
My overall thoughts on what I thought about them before I get right into them is that they're highly pigmented (For the Natural Lipstick), very moisturising, the scent was AMAZING and most of all it didn't make my lips look flaky or dry. These are a must in your handbag because believe me when I say they're of AMAZING quality. Find out why below x

ANTIPODES, NATURAL LIPSTICK IN APRIL SUN IN CUBA

April Sun in Cuba is a gorgeous orange and red type of colour that looks more coral when you first apply onto your lips. It's also a buildable for its colours, so the more you layer on, the more colour it shows on your lips. I would say this colour has more of a lovely tint look and this would be perfect for spring and summer. However, it doesn't matter what season, this colour looks vibrant, stands out and pops of its colour. It's very matte looking and so when applied onto the lips, the texture looks smooth and leaves a hint with shine to your lips.

Their lipstick is formulated with 99% natural lipstick, whilst the remainder comes from the colour pigments itself. There's also avocado oil as part of its ingredients which means the lipstick glides on well onto lips making it look super moisturising. I initially had dry and flaky lips and when I applied the lipstick, my lips felt wonderfully smooth and soft. Definitely happy about the consistency and texture of the lipstick itself. The lasting power of the lipstick stayed on for a few hours and I only needed to touch up my lips only after drinking from a cup.

Now for the packaging, it's quite sleek, compact and feels very durable. The exterior reminds me of a MAC and NARS feel to it. Nevertheless the lipstick feels so comfortable on my lips - even for a longer period. I often get positive comments on my lip colour and it's definitely my main lippie now. I love how this lipstick is so natural and comes with a slight fruit scent which smells pleasant. I am giving this a 5/5 stars!

POSITIVES:
  • 99% natural lipstick.
  • Contains avocado oil.
  • Matte looking.
  • Very moisturising.
BEAUTY TIPS:
  • You can exfoliate the lips before applying the lipstick.
WHERE TO PURCHASE:
  • For Australians out there, now available at Myers, David Jones, Priceline
  • RRP starting $26AUD

ANTIPODES, ORGANIC LIP BALM, LIME LEAF AND COCOA BUTTER.

So... if you're looking for a creamy type of organic lip balm that features olive oil, cocoa butter and lime - this is seriously the ideal lip balm which can provide the most needed moisture to your lips. This lip balm can be used everyday, for me I used this daily or every time I felt my lips getting a little dry. This lip balm is suited for anyone so this makes it very easy to use.

The best aspect about the lip balm is that it's 100% natural. I really like this type of limp balm because it's perfect to use before bed. The product comes with a strong lime scent and the tube is very solid and smooth. The lip balm makes a great type of moisturiser when on lips and it's perfect if have dry, chapped lips. I have also found that the Antipodes lip balm goes on smoother and feels more oiler which is a good moisturising aspect of it.

Overall, I am very impressed with this simple type of lip balm where it's 100% natural and organic. I am giving this 5/5 stars - probably one of the best lip balms I have used to date.

POSITIVES:
  • Can't get over the lime and cocoa butter scent, it smells GORGEOUS!
  • Contains 1 component of essential oils.
  • 100% ingredients are from natural origin.
  • 95% ingredients from organic cultivation.
  • Certified organic ingredient.
  • Very moisturising on lips.
  • Smooth and oiler texture balm.
NEGATIVES:
  • Zilch!
BEAUTY TIPS:
  • Look to apply the lip balm on daily for extra moisturisation to the lips.

  2. I saw these in DJ a little while ago, and haven't heard anything about them before now. But that red looks amazing, and I think having ingredients 'good enough to eat' is very important when it comes to lipstick. Great post :)
