HOW TO CREATE THOSE PERFECT BROWS THIS SEASON? FEAT. BEAUTY THEORY'S RANGE OF TWEEZERS + BROW TINT REVIEW !

HELLO BEAUTIES + FELLOW READERS!

I am so excited for the weekend because I can finally relax and enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate with a marshmellow floating on top. If anyone has tried Oliver Brown before for a cup of hot choc, be sure to try it out because they use REAL chocolate and it's not powdered. I've been raving on with how good it is to my friends and work mates all week long because it's seriously worth getting! Nevertheless back on topic, I look to check out the new trend for 2015...that's right...beautiful shaped brows are so in guys!

I remember back in the days where we would "overpluck" our eyebrows and it would look like you barely have any brows on. This was the trend back in the 90s and today it's all about definition, boldness and thickness. Think BOLD, FULL and skilfully arched. Models on the runway have brows which are artistically creative and could be over-drawn or pinned with fancy feather, etc. The point these girls are trying to make is that BOLD speaks louder than words. So for the look I tested out from the Beauty Theory range as they also offer many types of tweezers which have helped me to create a clean eye area. (No strays, thank gosh!) Colour Theory also offers a Brow Tint which is available to help add more definition to your eyes for a flawless look. (I would say if you've used a brow-set before, this would be similar to it.)

For the range I will now be going to show you guys include:
  • Beauty Theory Tweezers in Slant
  • Beauty Theory Eyebrow Tweezers in Scissor Style
  • Colour Theory Brow Tint in Take a Brow

All are actually surprisingly useful and have worked to remove most of my stray hairs near my eyebrows. I didn't end up pricking myself so that was a plus. (Don't you just hate it whenever you clip your tweezers into your skin - ouch!)

So please keep on scrolling down to reveal all about the simple steps on how to get those BOLD looking brows ;)

BEAUTY THEORY EYEBROW TWEEZERS IN SCISSOR STYLE

STEP 1: LOOK TO SHAPE YOUR EYEBROWS

Before we start defining our brows, we need to shape the look of our brows so this really means that you need to PLUCK any strays you may have.

Now Ladies and Gents...if you're looking for an easier way to control your tweezers I would really recommend purchasing this scissor style tweezer as it gives you more control. It's really designed to target more of the stubborn hairs near your eyebrow area and which you can't remove because the angle is hard to adjust to or so. This scissor style tweezer features a soft-grip handle which is very comfortable to hold in your hands/fingers. I actually felt this was very convenient and fast to use for plucking my stray hairs. It is definitely easier to navigate without pinching the skin so I was happy about the tweezer itself. In order to use this just clasp hair firmly and pull in the direction the hair is grown. Voila! You have just began your plucking adventures using a scissor style tweezer.

POSITIVES:
  • Easier to control.
  • Features a soft grip handle for comfort and control.
  • Makes it easier to navigate without nasty pinches.
  • Easy to use.

NEGATIVES:
  • Zilch!

BEAUTY TIPS:
  • Pluck after showering where stray hairs are easier to take out and when pores really open up.

BEAUTY THEORY EYEBROW TWEEZERS IN SLANT

STEP 1: LOOK TO SHAPE YOUR EYEBROWS

Now for option 2 from the Beauty Theory range is that you can also select their slanted tweezers.

I used Beauty Theory's Tweezers in SLANT which is quite a different way to tweeze your brows because it really is effective. It features an anti-slip finger rest which won't make it slip at all. I found that this gave me a superior control and it also features a durable gunmetal finish which has a good quality feel to it. The tip is slanted and this is made to ensure that you grab all of the specific hairs on your eyebrows which may be hard to reach or so. I found it actually easier to pluck my stray hair with the slant shaped tweezer because I had much better control and my fingers did not feel tired. I love how this slant style tweezer acts for a dual purpose for users of course

POSITIVES:
  • Features an anti-slip finger rest.
  • Has a fine tip to pin-point specific hairs.
  • Has a slanted tip to increase speed and control.
  • Dual purpose.
  • Features a durable gunmetal finish.

NEGATIVES:
  • Zilch!

BEAUTY TIPS:
  • Pluck after showering where stray hairs are easier to take out and when pores really open up.

WHERE TO PURCHASE:
  • RRP $7

COLOUR THEORY BROW TINT IN TAKE A BROW

STEP 2: DEFINE YOUR EYEBROWS

So now that you've shaped your eyebrows and removed any stray hairs, it's time to define them! Lightly sweep the Brow Tint pen over your eyebrows in order to add fullness and more definition to them. The Brow Tint has been designed with a fine tip applicator which now makes it easier for you to shape your brows and also retain that natural finish to your brows. I would say the brow liner in brown will suit most eyebrow colours because it looks natural, not too dark so I am happy about that.

The Brow tint pen was so easy to use but it takes practice to create that perfect and fuller looking brows. I would say just take your time when lining your brows because you don't want to go overboard in colouring them in, just lightly use strokes to create that natural hair look on your brows. With the tip of the pen being so fine actually helped me to create a neater structure and lining to my brows. The ink was quite gentle and it did not irritate or cause any redness to my eyebrows at all. If you've used a brow kit before, I would say this concept is similar only this time, it's convenient to use and also is travel friendly. You can pop this in your bag in case your brow goes out of whack and you're in need of an emergency brow tint pen!

POSITIVES:
  • Adds definition and fullness to brows.
  • Easier to shape brows with its fine tip pen.
  • Creates a natural finish.
  • Colour tint in brown will suit most eyebrow colours.
  • Made in Australia

NEGATIVES:
  • Zilch!

BEAUTY TIPS:
  • Line your brows carefully and slowly using strokes to create more a natural brow look.

WHERE TO PURCHASE:
  • RRP $6
  • Check out their online store and for your nearest stockist: www.amcal.com.au
