PROTECT YOUR SKIN USING TRAVEL FRIENDLY SIZED CANCER COUNCIL SUNSCREEN IN SPORT SPF 50+ AND EVERYDAY SUNSCREEN SPF30+ REVIEW !

HELLO BEAUTIES!

Q. How often do you use sunscreen?
If you said never, hardly, barely or what sunscreen...please keep on reading :)

It's essential to protect your skin from the harsh sun when it comes to exposing yourself to the outdoors. The sun's UV rays are potentially the most harmful to your skin and the best thing you can always do for yourself is to protect your skin by using a good type of sunscreen, along with adequate protective clothing.

One brand of sunscreen that I truly trust is from the Cancer Council brand. The best thing about purchasing their products is that part of the profits will eventually go to further research and development for the prevention and cure of cancer. I am a fond believer of supporting foundations such as the Cancer Council because it's all about contributing for the better and further research. As for Australia itself, there's a higher rate of people suffering from skin cancer because the U.V rays are so damaging here that sometimes people forget to slip, slop and slap. It's so important to protect your skin from the sun's damaging rays. And with using products from the Cancer Council sunscreen range, you'll be pleased to know that their products do in fact provide the highest Australian sun protection (i.e. having a SPF over 30+) and also with a broad spectrum of UVA and UVB protection.

There are two particular sunscreen products I'd like to discuss in this review which may be suitable for your lifestyle. The best thing about Cancer Council is that they have different formulation to suit everybody's needs. In this case I have tested out the Cancer Council, Sport Sunscreen which comes with a handy Ezi clip in SPF 50+ and also the Cancer Council Everyday Sunscreen which comes in SPF.  A key tip to always remember is that to read the sunscreen label and only use as directed.

The best thing about these two types of sunscreen is that you can get them in a travel-friendly size, so in this case they are in 50ml for the Sport Sunscreen and 35ml for the Everyday Sunscreen. This makes it perfect to pop into your handbag or beach bag whenever you are out and exposed to the U.V rays. It's always handy to also re-touch your sunscreen every 2 hours just to make sure that you are fully protected at all times. Don't forget to wear a hat!

CANCER COUNCIL, SPORT SUNSCREEN SPF 50 + (WITH HANDY EZI CLIP)

Ok guys! If you're active in sports and constantly under the sun, this is the ideal sunscreen for you. Of course it's named as the Sport Sunscreen. It's features a really high protection for people who are highly active in the sun. What's great too is that it's sweat resistant, non-greasy and has been designed for those who require a high performance sunscreen. That's right so high that the SPF is at 50+. Considering the high level of protection, it looks to protect your skin for up to 3-4 hours. It's also made to last for about 4 hours water resistant.

And if you were wondering if that was a clip, yes it comes with a handy ezi clip which is ideal for your belt, backpack or sports bag. The product is made suitable for all skin types including those with sensitive skin. It's definitely affordable for a sunscreen and the skin protection is there so you just need to worry about re-applying once every few hours.

Overall it was a pretty good type of sunscreen. The fragrance is not too strong so it's definitely comfortable to wear on my skin for long periods. As for the consistency of the cream, it rubs on quite easily onto the skin making it easy to spread all around my face and body. By having the sunscreen on, I didn't get sunburnt at all so the product's protection certainly helped in protecting my skin from the sun.

POSITIVES:
  • Comes in a many sizes for the Sport Sunscreen, and if you're wanting something more travel friendly you can opt for the 50ml sized bottle which also comes with a handy ezi clip.
  • No strong fragrance.
  • SPF 50+
  • 4 Hours water resistant.
  • High performance UVA and UVB protection against harsh sun rays.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Made in Australia
NEGATIVES:
  • ZILCH!
BEAUTY TIPS:
  • Just make sure to re-apply every few hours or so to avoid sunburn.
WHERE TO PURCHASE:

Comes with a cool handy ezi clip which is perfect for your backpack, belt or sportsbag.

CANCER COUNCIL, EVERYDAY SUNSCREEN

Endorsed by the Cancer Council, the Everyday sunscreen has been a main favourite within the Cancer Council sunscreen range. This is a very light and non-oily type of moisturising sunscreen cream. It now contains more sunscreen actives which provide higher protection from the harmful UV rays. It comes in SPF 30+ protection and with a broad spectrum of UVA and UVB sun protection. This product has about 4 hours of water resistant time, meaning that after 3-4 hours make sure to re-apply if you have been swimming at the beach or in the water out in the sun.

From using this sunscreen, I have found that I did not experience any breakouts or redness. Sometimes when I use other types of sunscreens, it can get too oily for my skin so that is what makes my skin breakout. However from using the Everyday Sunscreen, it was alright for my skin and I experienced no sunburns as I have made sure that I re-applied the cream on every 2-3 hours. For a sunscreen price, it's quite affordable with their various types of sizes. If you're wanting a bigger size then you could always opt for a 1 litre tub which is priced at $34.95 AUD which is super affordable for 1 litre. This will last you months. As for the 35ml tube of sunscreen shown in the image above, I carry this in my handbag because it's light and not heavy at all. I love small and cute travel sized bottles because they're convenient to have in your bag. Also, the product is not greasy at all which is the best aspect of the application of the sunscreen. Overall, I am already using the sunscreen as part of my daily sunscreen wear and so far it has definitely been working for me.
