Hope you're having a super Thursday night!

When it comes to The Body Shop products, I love how they're made with the most essential ingredients that are needed to fulfill its overall purposes. If you're not aware of the The Body Shop, they were founded by entrepreneur Dame Anita Roddick. In 1976 she started selling hand-mixed naturally inspired products with minimal packaging from just a small shop in Brighton, England. The Body Shop have run campaigns against human rights abuses, protecting animals and the environment.

I literally walk past The Body Shop store in the Sydney city store every day so I am constantly updated with the new exciting products that launch in-store.

In this Body Shop Essentials for Spring 2015 post, I look to chat about the following products:
  • The Body Shop - Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
  • The Body Shop - Nutriganics Drops of Youth

I have been using this products for over a few weeks now and both have benefited my skin for the better and they're super effective in doing what it needs to do.

To hear more of whether it worked for me, check out my thoughts below Ladies and Gentlemen!

This is a rich, sumptuous cleansing butter that contains Community Fair Trade camomile and natural olive oil that transforms into a soft-cushioning oil upon contact with the skin.

The main purpose of this Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter by The Body Shop is to effectively remove all make-up, grime and impurities from the skin. After cleansing, skin will feel super clean, hydrated and really refreshed (almost like you've just come out from a day spa!) It looks to remove all types of make-up including waterproof products that are hard to remove. What is good about the cleansing butter also is that it's made suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers.

I've never used a cleansing balm before so I was so curious to find out what this product could do for me. In order for me to use the balm, I would simply massage a pea-sized amount of the product onto my skin and then by adding some water to it, the product will simply turn white and milky. Next, I would use a warm wash cloth to remove any excess make-up, residue and grime from my skin. This product should be used as a first step make-up remover and you should follow this by using a cleanser after this step.

My overall impression of the cleansing butter is that it's super effective in removing make-up off the face. It's very useful when you're travelling because it's packed in a neat, 90ml sized tin which comes in a solid form, so there's no runny bits to it. To open the tin, it requires you to twist all the way - and somewhat reminds me of the old lollies in tins. (If you can remember far back!) I love how the tin is thick and wide so this means that it's so much easier to get hold of the product as compared to popping your hands deep into a tin. You can ideally carry this around in your handbag too as it's not too heavy.

It's definitely a must have a product for Spring because the Camomile scent of the cleansing butter is amazing and really pleasant to have on your skin. In fact, it smells and feels therapeutic which makes my cleansing experience even better. I love the camomile scent also because it's very calming.

If I had to choose one way to cleanse my skin, I would definitely select the Cleansing Balm by the Body Shop because it's so convenient and easy to use and most importantly, it looks to effectively clean make-up from your skin. I am highly satisfied with the product and am rating this 5/5 stars and it should be on everyone's vanity!

  • First, apply the product to dry face and massage into the skin.
  • Next, rinse off with warm water and remove the residue with a warm wash cloth.
  • Follow by a cleanser.

Slow the clock with this amazing Drops of Youth product!

Featuring a Youth-enhancing concentrate for smoother looking skin, this is an amazing serum to use twice daily during the morning and evening. The serum has been enriched with criste-marine plant cells. The Drops of Youth serum is designed to optimise the results of your daily beauty routine. How it works is that it looks to enhance surface skin renewal. As the days go by and as you consistently use the drops on a daily basis, you'll start to notice that it evens out your skin tone and leaves your skin looking super smoother, fresher and healthier looking.

So what better way to look younger with the Drops of Youth serum because there are a few tips and tricks put there that help slow the progress of wrinkles and ageing. Of course this product has been developed to combat the signs of ageing and Ladies and Gentlemen, if there's a miracle serum that can help to smooth out your skin tone and enhance your complexion, then that would have to be the Drops of Youth serum by The Body Shop. After using the serum for a few weeks now (to be exact over a three week period), I have now found that my face looks fresher, smoother and healthier in appearance. I've always wanted to know how I can achieve that "smooth" look to my face and after using this serum, my life has definitely changed for the better. I now know there's a particular product that can help to combat the signs of ageing. Looking younger is always important because you get that natural and healthy glow to your skin which in effect boosts confidence levels.

The Drops of Youth serum is a certified organic alternative to other anti-ageing products out in the beauty market. There's definitely so many to choose from and since The Body Shop supports many worthy causes that I fully believe in, I am definitely going to opt for using their products because they're also safe and gentle to use. They have utilised the latest plant stem cell technology in the Drops of Youth serum which means there's NO paraben or silicon present in the product. I am so amazed at how at least 99% of its ingredients are natural in origin.

So how does this serum exactly work? While we are young, skin constantly renews itself to keep it looking fresh and smooth. As you get older, your skin...well changes and can hardly keep up with the process. (In other words, it's slowing down!) What you really need to do in this case is to really look for a good serum such as the Drops of Youth which is designed to enhance surface skin renewal by assisting your skin with the natural process of replacing the dead skin cells on top with new ones underneath.

In the long run with continued use of the Drops of Youth serum, it will certainly look to revitalise your skin by repairing your cell-repair process and also boosting hydration levels to your skin in a positive way. This is why you get that healthier and smoother look for your skin so you can feel younger all over again. It also looks to enhance your surface skin condition by looking to improve your skin's appearance whilst also instantly moisturising it. I've received so many compliments to the complexion of my skin as to how it looks smoother, what product I am using and whether I have any other miracle product that I'm using. Of course I would reveal my secret which is the Drops of Youth by The Body Shop which has really made my skin glow for the better in a more youthful way. It really does wonders to my skin!

  • First, massage 2-3 drops of the serum into cleansed face, allowing it to fully absorb for a few seconds before applying your regular moisturiser.
  • RRP $69.95
  • Available at your nearest Body Shop store worldwide, otherwise please check out their official website to find out more about their range: http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/
