Welcome back and ever wondered what particular brands are affordable, luxury and Australian?

Featuring the Iluka Skincare and Luma beauty range are Australian made and owned.

Firstly, ILUKA skincare (meaning by the sea in an indigenous Australian language) is actually by Natalie Imbruglia where all of her skincare products are made for anti-ageing purposes. Majority of her skincare line are priced between $19.99 and $29.99 which places it into the affordable category for luxury anti-ageing skincare products. Iluka was inspired by the Australian coastal landscape and have been formulate using the plant and marine extracts. It took Natalie about two years to develop this perfect skincare range and finally I got a chance to try it out to see how it would benefit my skin.

The ILUKA range features anti-ageing skincare products that are very gentle, nourishing and feels super natural on the skin. You can tell when you start to apply the products onto your skin - where it will just feel comfortable and will not look to irritate the skin. Plus they smell organic and pleasant (similar to fresh flowers and plants). Their ingredients include:
  • Kakadu Plum - this is full of Vitamin C
  • Marine Collagen - this is a protein extracted from sea algae and helps to aid cellular renewal and improves the skin's elasticity,
  • Manuka Honey - this is an antimicrobial that protects the skin's moisture barrier.
  • Crushes Pearl Powder - gives a luminous glow to the skin.

All of the ILUKA products are made and owned in Australia and most importantly they don't contain any nasties such as parabens or sulphates. They are 100% gentle and have not been tested on animals.

Secondly, I have also featured two mineral eye definers from the LUMA range as your first snippet into the LUMA cosmetics range by Jessica Hart. LUMA cosmetics by Jess Hart offers a premium range of naturally derived beauty products that contain the highest quality ingredients and most importantly they are super affordable. I'll continue more on the LUMA cosmetics in my next post where I'll focus mainly on their beauty care products, so be sure to keep an eye out for it.

  • ILUKA products are now available at Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Independent pharmacies and online at www.ilukaskincare.com
  • LUMA products are now on shelf at Priceline, MYER, Portmans and online at www.lumacosmetics.com.au

ROSE HIP OIL - RRP $29.95

Not bad for the price as this rose hip oil offers benefits of skin healing, regeneration and rejuvenation. This product is free from parabens, sulphates and also does not test on animals. It's mainly used for when you're wanting to heal scars and treat dull looking skin. It contains 40% of an omega 6 fatty acid which looks to moisturise and replenish dry and flaky skin. It also enhances skin elasticity and firmness which is good if you're in the market for a gentle product that smells very organic and natural as well. The rose hip oil comes in a 30ml dropper style bottle which makes your life easier when applying serums/oils onto your face.

Anti-ageing Illuminising Pearl Primer - Swatched

This is a super lightweight, natural primer that absorbs completely onto the skin. It aims to give the skin bit more of a pearly and subtle glow. By applying this pearl primer, you're looking at longer make-up wear and also a flawless, smooth finish for your make-up application. I really like this primer as it leaves a nice glow for the skin and it contains Glycerin, Shea Butter and Macadamia Oil. Truly wonderful ingredients that make your skin feel AMAZING!

This night cream feels comfortable, soft and really helps to firm out the skin. It contains anti-wrinkle and skin firming ingredients such as Grape Seed oil, Shea Butter and Olive oil which all hydrate the skin so well. Apply this beauty on every night and you'll find that your skin will look more hydrated and nourishing the next morning. There are also Vitamin A and E present in the night cream which helps to fight against free radicals. Looking to rejuvenate tired looking skin? No worries...just pop some of this night cream onto your face just before bed and you'll wake up with a more hydrated and glowing complexion.

L: MINERAL EYE DEFINER - JET BLACK, R: EBONY BROWN

Swatched: Top - Ebony brown
Bottom - Jet black

I am quite impressed with these mineral eye definers AKA your eyeliners in Jetblack and Ebony Brown. It is 80% natural which makes it as near as natural product. The eye definer has been formulated with waxes and oils so that you get the smoothest application as possible and also it doesn't look too harsh. Pictured above, as you can see from my swatches it looks so natural and not harsh at all which is ideal because I like to go for that subtle and natural look. These beauties have been opthalmologically tested for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers which means it is considered safe and gentle to use around the eyes.

Have you tried any of the above as yet?

What do you think of them?

Happy reading!
