For most of the Sydney-siders it's the long weekend which means that we get an extra day of rest. Why not relax at home and set yourself up with some skincare favourites? Here are my top pampering essentials that you may be interested to learn more about....
Get ready to get pampered...right at home! These are a few of my pampering essentials for this week that have caught my interest and are all Made in France. So go ahead and heat up the chocolate croissants and turn on the Netflix because there's nothing as comfortable as being right at home on a rainy day.

I was quite excited to check out some of the skincare products from France and they never cease to disappoint me with their product packaging such as Nuxe to Bioderma and finally to Uriage Eau Thermale.

So to learn more about my experiences with some of these products and how they can fabulously add to your own French home pampering essentials, simply scroll down and enjoy the read everyone - xoxo.

Quite recently Bioderma celebrated 20 years of cult cleansing with their Micellar water range which has been a classic within their range along with being a top seller in the beauty world. Bioderma were actually the first to create a micellar water which is how they founded the Bioderma Sensibio H20 for the use on the skin.

How the micellar water works is that it acts as a mild and gentle cleanser for your face and eyes - bit like a makeup remover but it works to remove your make-up along with providing effective, gentle and hydrating properties for your skin too. Make-up Artists, models, celebrities and consumer skin general have been highly raving on about this particular micellar water which I was initially excited to try out. Sensibio H20 was formerly called "Crealine H20" and it works very well on the skin making it super compatible. You don't need to rinse your face as it requires no water. Simply soak some solution onto a cotton face pad and work it all right through your face. The product is hypoallergenic, fragrance and alcohol free and also feels very soothing. If you happen to have redness around the areas on your face, simply concentrate the cotton pad onto the area and the solution will look to soothe it out.

Another interesting concept of the Sensibio H20 Micellar Water is that one part has an affinity for water. Therefore when you use a cotton pad, it sticks to it, literally. And for the other part of the micelle is that it has an affinity for fat. It looks to stay at the top towards the outside, so when you look to apply the cotton pad onto the face, the part that likes the fat goes directly on the skin and looks to attract all of the dirt, impurities and of course makeup. (Similar to a concept of how a magnet would work) So when you finally remove the cotton pad, the micelle closes again and stays on the cotton pad where you can visibly see all of the impurities on the cotton pad which is quite interesting.

Overall, I love this type of micellar water, it works effectively for my skin where it leaves it feeling hydrated and cleansed. I would highly recommend this if you're in the market for a gentle yet effective micellar cleanser.

Wow is all I can say about this nourishing lip balm. It's definitely called ultra nourishing for a reason and that is because it looks to repair, soothe and protects dry or chapped looking lips. As the season gets cooler, we will notice our lips become more dry, flaky or chapped which is why we really need a good moisturising lip balm that can restore the suppleness and comfort back to our lips.

This lip balm is formulated with Honey, Plant oils, Shea Butter and Grapefruit essence which ideally helps to nourish, repair and provide a protective barrier to your lips. Let's just say that I have been using this lip balm for a few weeks now on a daily basis and I can literally feel my lips feeling smoother and softer which is the ideal result I was aiming to achieve. So I am really pleased about this product overall!

The lip balm comes in a 15g glass pot which feels luxury and I would definitely bring this everywhere with me. Honestly it absorbs really well onto lips and leaves a nice protective layer to them which is ideal because I have been looking for so long now for a product that can look to achieve that well. So... if you're wanting to achieve beautiful, soft looking lips, be sure to pick this pot of beauty up.

I quite like this gold, fancy looking bottle which reminds me of a perfume bottle. However it's similar to a perfume but in fact it's a multi purpose dry oil which can be used on the face, body and hair. It looks to nourish, repair and softens with 6 precious plant oils. This product actually was created back in 1991 and since then as been a huge success in France and then it grew rapidly outside of the country after that.

The multi-purpose oil looks to soften the skin and even reduce stretch marks as it contains a unique ultra-concentrated composition of 6 precious plant oils being Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borage, Sweet Almond, Camellia and St John's Wort. This oil is also enriched with Vitamin E and is free from nasties such as silicones, preservatives and minerals oils.

How it works is that the dry oil absorbs quickly onto the skin leaving it to feel soft and silky within just one step. You can additionally add this onto your hair to make it look shinier and smell amazing. Add a little onto your body to boost the moisture back to your skin, plus you'll smell wonderful too.

The fragrance is so iconic that it's known for its beautiful fragrance which is sweet and feminine. Instantly we are greeted with orange blossom, bitter orange and mirabelle plum notes which reveals flora heart of rose, lily of the valley and white lily. Finally, we are provided be a sensual base of amber, vanilla and cedar wood.

So a French pharmacy brand called Uriage look to combine thermal and micelle water to create the best cleansers for sensitive type of skin. Now imagine your makeup remover wipes containing thermal and micellar water...the result? You get an amazing cleansing product cleanses and moisturises your skin all at the same time and for the added convenience for on the go purposes. Now, we see Uriage Eau Thermals launch this product into the the Australian market for the very first time.

What makes the Uriage so unique is that they're known for their thermal water. The active water starts it journey at the top of Alpine Massif of Belledone in the French Alps. From there it takes 75 years to reach the bottom where it collects vitamins, minerals and trace elements on its way. Essentially we know that Uriage thermal water is so rich in magnesium, sodium, manganese, zinc and copper - which all in effect provides moisturising, soothing and protecting benefits for the skin. Therefore we now have a product that combines thermal micellar water which is a highly active skin cleanser and makeup remover for sensitive skin.

From using these makeup remover wipes, they have proved to be quite effective in cleansing and moisturising my skin. Dirt, makeup and other impurities are removed leaving a hydrated and clean overall complexion which I am quite satisfied about. Skin is left without the irritation feeling which is so ideal for me to consider when it comes to cleansers and wipes out there on the market.

The Uriage Thermal Micellar Water also contains Cranberry extracts which is super powerful in Vitamin C that acts as an antioxidant helping to protect your skin against free radicals.

Have you tried an of the French skincare products as yet?

What are your thoughts!

Let me know :)
