[FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF IPL HAIR REMOVAL DEVICE] BABYLISS PARIS LAUNCHES THE HOMELIGHT COMPACT DEVICE THAT WORKS WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE/TABLET!

HEY EVERYONE!

So Babyliss Paris launched their Homelight Compact which is an easy to handle IPL Hair Removal Device that works easily with any smartphone or tablet (where it actually guides you with every step of the way).

Babyliss is Europe's number one brand when it comes to personal care and they have been in the market for over 50 years of professional expertise in personal care.

We all know that when it comes to laser hair removal, the treatments do add up and can get quite costly. So that's why Babyliss have designed a product where you can easily use right at home and get the smoothest skin. The Homelight Compact IPL Hair Removal device even looks to sync with the Babyliss Homelight App (which is free from the App store or Google Play store). How it essentially works is that you can look to personalise your treatments, similar to having a little reminder of when your last session was.

YOU GET YOUR OWN PERSONALISED TREATMENT VIA AN APP
Similar to going to a salon, by having a personalised touch via an app also known as the personalised treatment buddy, you can now look to focus on each treatment for the face or body. It also measures the timing and length of each treatment so that it's recorded into the app - so just how you would record notes in a diary. (Talk about how convenient this app is!) Also, the app is able to remind you of a follow-up treatment by just scheduling in the next session.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IPL
Also known as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal actually uses optical energy to stop the growth of hair. How the device works is that the gentle flashes of light are applied onto the skin's surface to really target the hair's follicle's melanin and root. The flashes of light are then transformed into heat while the surrounding skin looks to stay cool. Then, the heat from the flashes causes the hair to go into a resting phase, hence ceasing the growth of it. We then see hair re-growth being weakened and hair sheds naturally.

I have been to about seven IPL hair removal sessions at a professional salon and have found that the hairs do grow back thinner which is essential when I'm wanting to achieve hair-free skin. The sessions can all add up, especially when you look to "prepaid" or pay on the go. IPL is well known and has been subjected to over 15 years of clinical testing around the world. So now we have a compact IPL hair removal device that has the same technloby used by the professional salons, featuring Babyliss's NEW product launch of their Homelight Compact. The device is super safe, painless and an ideal permanent hair removal option if you're wanting to do this right at home.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE BABYLISS PARIS HOMELIGHT COMPACT
By just using the IPL hair removal device, there's no need for daily shaving or waxing. It's convenient to have a hair-free area for a longer period of time. The device also uses a Quartz Technology with 200,000 flashes. There's no replacement needed so that's easier for you. The device has a 3cm squared application surface for fast treatment in the larger areas, so essentially you can look to potentially treat both legs in about 10-15 minutes. The device features a 5 level light intensity selection guide so that it's suitable for all skin tones. You get a perfect precision when your skin comes into contact with the sensor for a safe hair removal. The device has also been clinically and dermatologically tested for a proven 90% reduction in hair. So far since I've been using the Homelight Compact, my hairs have been growing thinner and I can visibly notice a reducing in its growth.

So you guys may be wondering if it's safe to use seeing that it uses a laser concept? Yes because it has an integrated optical filter that looks to shield the skin from UV rays for a safe treatment at home. I experienced no harsh feelings or any signs of discomfort which is really great to know. At first, I was quite apprehensive at trying out the Homelight Compact because I thought we all need hair removal done by a professional, but it turns out the compact is really easy and safe to use - and the fact that you actually save on going to sessions, I thought to myself why not?

I love how the Homelight compact just feels lightweight it's definitely an ideal compact to have in the home. As for the control settings, there are 2 variable controls with easy to use flash activation. The first control being FAST, where this is a continuous flash mode (up to 36 flashes per minute) for fast and efficient treatment of the body, legs and arm. Then, there's the PRECISE control, which is a manual flash mode for a precise and controlled treatment of sensitive areas being the face, underarms and bikini line.

Overall, this compact sized IPL hair remover is efficient and works amazingly well to reduce hair on your body, arms, legs, back and torso. With at least 8 sessions, you'll start to notice a reduction in hair length and thickness.

RESEARCH SHOWS
  • 90% reduction in the amount of hair observed on average on legs after 8 sessions. Clinical study was carried out in 2013 on 49 women.
