La Roche-Posay recently introduced their NEW Toleriane Ultra Overnight made especially for those with extra sensitive skin.

So if your skin is sensitive or super sensitive, you'll definitely be interested to learn more about what this product can do for your skin. We all know that night time is the best time to repair and restore our skin. However, for those with extra sensitive skin know what it feels like to experience discomfort, irritations and itchiness. It's uncomfortable and you really want a product for which your skin can tolerate. Hence, you're going to want to try out this product as it helps your skin recover overnight, without any further irritations or discomfort

Essentially, if you find yourself waking up with discomfort, then be sure to check out the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Overnight. It's actually their first high tolerance night care which helps to relieve those with sensitive skin from any irritations and discomfort. If anything, this product looks to make skin less sensitive.

The product is enriched with neurosensine, niacinimide, carnosine and Vitamin E which helps to neutralise free radicals, soothe the skin and minimise any signs of inflammation on the skin. It also contains La Roche-Posay thermal spring water as it carries anti-oxidant properties that look to soothe sensitive type skin. Upon using the product, you'll find that your skin will feel much relieved, calmed and essentially free from any discomfort. This product also looks to reduce redness, tightness and itchiness which is perfect if you're wanting a quick solution.

So how did the Toleriane Ulra Overnight by La Roche-Posay come about? Interestingly, I found out that it was actually inspired by Asian sleeping masks, where you get an ultra-fresh gel texture that glides effortlessly without leaving any oily residue at all. Once you wake up, your skin will feel super smooth, soft and simply renewed. (Oh and did I mention how hydrated it will leave your skin feeling too?). Moreover, the product is free from any preservatives, parabens, fragrances, lanolin and alcohol (just to name a few) which means that it's so gentle to use on the skin in the long term.

This product is suitable for intolerant, allergic and ultra-sensitive skin. As for the packaging, it's presented in a 40ml tube ultra-airtight packaging.

Overall, this product is great to use at night as it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and super soft the next morning. It's so gentle to use on sensitive skin which is why this may be of interest to those who do suffer from skin discomfort from time to time. I love the fact that it doesn't make my face feel oily which is great if you have sensitive skin because it helps it to become more hydrated and refreshed if anything.

  • RRP $39.95
  • Comes in 40ml,
  • For more information, head over here to La Roche-Posay's official website.

Gilded Cage welcomes their luxurious Charisma Lip Gloss collection. Born in Australia, designed in Paris and Made in Italy. This lip gloss has definitely been all around the world for it to become a complete product.

This is a lip gloss that leaves your lips with a shiny and wet look to them in just ONE swipe. It's very pigmented and goes on quite glossy so if you're looking for a luxurious lip gloss, be sure to check out the Gilded Cage Charisma range. I tried out the shade #86 in Deep Shimmering Plum, which is this gorgeous dark purple gloss that looks and feels rich on the lips. So... the lip gloss is formulated with Kendi Oil, which essentially helps the glosses to hydrate, smooth and nourish the lip surface. Should you have any dryness on the lips, this lip gloss instantly leaves your lips feeling and looking super hydrated which is definitely my favourite aspect of this lip gloss. The lip gloss smells like fresh fruits which is pleasant and it also contains crystal like pearls which brings some form of shimmer to your lips. (Additionally, it actively hides any wrinkles on your lips too - so that's a bonus)

The fact that they are made in Italy, it already speaks of quality to its products. Their suppliers have certified formulations in compliance with the strict EU cosmetic regulations which also means that this particular brand does not conform to testing on animals which is of a high importance to myself when it comes to beauty products. It is also free from any parabens, D5 and wax which makes it safe to use on the lips in the long run.

As for the shade in Deep Shimmering Plum #86, it is absolutely a subtle and stunning shade to rock if you're wanting some colour and gloss to your lips. I love the soft and deep purple shade that it brings to my lips (as shown in the swatch below). This lovely lip gloss can be worn alone or over a lipstick.

The week has wrapped up quite quickly and what better way to soak in a relaxing bath milk, followed by pampering the skin with a luxurious body oil.

There's literally about one month of winter to go, so hang in there because spring will be coming soon. However, let's talk about this cold and dry season that we're currently experiencing in Australia. It can totally affect our skin, from dry patches, skin tightness to itchiness...you're going to really want to use a product that can help to replenish the moisture and hydration back to your skin. So...have you all heard of body oils and bath milks before?

Weleda provides an incredible of bath milks and body oils which are the perfect solution for Winter. Take Weleda's body oils in particular, they are formulated with selected plant oils meaning that they are full of vitamins, nutrients and unsaturated fatty acids that leaves skin looks healthy and beautiful. The body oils are all natural and look to nourish the skin by providing it with the ultimate protection from dry and flaky skin. So once you've finished up with a bath or shower, simply apply a few drops of the Body oil to the skin and what you'll find is that it's quickly absorbed onto the skin.

So what you will find below is my take on two of Weleda's skincare products being their popular Lavender Relaxing Bath Milk and the Wild Rose Body oil which I've recently tried out. I hope you enjoy the read, so sit back and relax!

Also for more information, you can look to check out Weleda's official website where you can look to purchase the product over there.

Weleda Lavender Relaxing Bath Milk - (RRP $29.95 for 200ml)

First things first..I really love their durable glass bottles. It makes the product seem luxury and keeps the product fresh. And when we hear of a Lavender Relaxing Bath Milk, we know that it's going to ensure that we have a good nights sleep which is true because the product actually helps you to fall asleep easier and promotes a peaceful night's sleep. Simply, soak yourself in the bath with approximately 2-3 capfuls into running water for at no longer than 20 minutes. It's definitely a helpful product if you happen to suffer from sleep at night or are feeling quite stressed. The lavender bath milk really is a pleasant product to use in the bath and I actually try to soak myself in this bath milk on a weekly basis.

You'll be pleased to know that Lavender Bath Milk by Weleda are made from natural ingredients are are free from foaming detergents. There's no irritation or redness that I experienced from using this product so I am actually quite impressed with the results so far. The milks are usually well tolerated by the skin and also free from any synthetic emulsifiers that can lead to skin dryness. (So essentially it's good for the skin and will not cause further dryness). Most importantly, the Relaxing Bath Milk calms and relaxes your body which is essential and I highly recommend this product if you're curious to try it out for yourself.

Weleda, Wild Rose Body Oil - (RRP $24.95 for 100ml)

As previously discussed, I mentioned that the Weleda Body oils are made from pure plant oils which means that knowing the ingredients of the body oil, it's definitely safe and gentle to use on the skin. The body oil is free of synthetic preservatives, fragrances, colourants and raw materials derived from mineral oils. How the body oil works is that it looks to pamper and smooth your skin should it be feeling rough, dry and even itchy. It feels luxurious and sheer plus it is ideal for either the face or body (not just the body). This body oil is made with rich-caring unsaturated fatty acids which look to stimulate cell regeneration and revitalisation of the skin.

Looking after your skin has never been so easy! For me personally, I always try to apply a few drops of the body oil right onto damp skin (so that's after having a bath or showering). The Sweet Almond Oil also looks to revitalise the skin's natural elasticity - leaving it also feeling supple and radiant. As for the fragrance, you really get an aroma of wild rose oil which provides a soothing experience which I like because it's more on the floral scented scale. I'm trying to apply the Wild Rose body oil on every night only because that I find that it gives effective results of having smoother and silkier skin.

Have you tried any of Weleda products as mentioned above?

What's your favourite?

I hope all of you are having a wonderful evening so far. Rimmel London have recently launched their new line of lipsticks called their Moisture Renew Sheer and Shine. Who's excited to see some fancy swatches?

Recently, I tried 5/6 of their new fabulous shades that are enriched with Vitamin A, C and E which really boosts a whole heap of moisture to your lips AND provides a nice fresh coat of colour to them. They finish off with a sheer and shiny look to them which makes your lips look elegant and gorgeous. They are perfect for everyday and even perhaps a special occasion? I would say that the texture is very lightweight, non-sticky and is seriously so comfortable to wear on the lips all day. However, the lipstick can be gradually built up to create more dramatic colour, just simply add more layers to deepen the colour.

Additionally, the lipstick contains SPF 20+ UV protection which is essential if you're wanting a lipstick that can provide a boost in moisture, sheer and shine, along with the sun protection element to it. (Sun protection is a must ladies!)

Overall, I love the shine and sheer look that this lipstick provides for the lips. If you combine the benefits of a lip gloss and a lip balm, you'll get an absolutely moisturising lipstick that offers a juicy colour range. These glide on very smoothly on the lips which I really love!

Shades I tested out from the Rimmel London Sheer and Shine range includes
  • 100 - Woke Up Like This
  • 600 - Spin All Spring
  • 300 - Pink Rules
  • 500 -Red-y Set Go!
  • 200 - Glow-rious Pink

Rimme London Sheer and Shine Lipsticks

  • 100 - Woke Up Like This - This features a pale light coral/pink which looks soft and elegant for a lip colour. If your skin is more tanned and darker, this shade will definitely suit your lips the best.
  • 600 - Spin All Spring - Hello to a lovely coral shade that stands out. It reminds me of summer, so why not rock a summer shade during winter! It's easy to wear of because its warm toned shade and looks gorgeous on all skin colours.
  • 300 - Pink Rules - This is more of a deep, dark pink that really stands out from the crowd if you want to make a soft statement. If you love to rock pink shades, definitely opt for this beautiful shade that would suit any type of outfit.
  • 500 Red-y Set Go! - This is a deep and vibrant blood orange shade that pops on the lips. This colour would suit neutral and white coloured outfits. Paired with the perfect accessories, you'll be sure to make your lips stand out.
  • 200 - Glow-rious Pink - Maybe you're wanting that in between pink shade? Not too light or too dark? This is the ideal shade for you if you like to rock a softer pink shade but still want the shade to be just a tad darker.

Not sure which mud (clay) masks to rock for this winter?

I tried out two brands being 'Original MUD' and 'today is ours', one being a detox bath & body mask whilst the other is made for a face mask.

Mud masks are so rejuvenating when you have the time to pamper yourself right at home. So...when you do find some spare time for yourself whilst you're at home, be sure to pop on a face or body mask and let the clay sink into the skin. I find that by popping on a face mask, it really puts me in a relaxation phase and it's my time to simply rejuvenate my skin once again. Our daily schedules can put stress onto our skin, so that is why it's so essential to remember to show your skin some TLC when it comes to pampering time.

If you're new to using clay or mud masks, I hope this informative review will give you an idea of the product itself. It's so easy to use and let me just say the moment you rinse off your mask, you're going to feel like your skin has just undergone an incredible facial.

Happy reading x

If you're wanting to soak it up with a mud bath, perhaps you'd like to try out this particular product? The MUD clay bath powder works to detox your body, smooth out the skin and of course give you a relaxation experience. One of the key ingredients of the MUD detox clay is 'Bentonite clay' which has an electrical charge when combined with water. Basically the negative charge in the clay attracts the positive charge that is found in toxins. (Pretty cool right?). Hence, all toxins are then removed right after your bath. Once you have finished your bath, ensure that you have quick rinse under the shower to rinse away any excess toxins. So you should really bathe in it for about 20 minutes before rinsing. And as for the uses, it can be used as a foot bath or body mask to remove any toxins from the skin.

The product is Made in Australia, not tested on animals and is 100% Vegan.

As for the other ingredients included in the product are included below:
  • Bentonite Clay
  • Kaolin Clay
  • Himalayan Clay
  • Sandalwood powder
  • Aloe Vera powder
  • Organic French Lavender powder

Overall, it was a simply and effective body mask to use in the bath. After rinsing off the clay mask, my skin felt so invigorating and refreshed. It's such a great feeling to know that all of the toxins are washed away. In order to effectively retain this 'invigorating' feeling to the skin, be sure to use the mud bath for at least once a week.

today is ours, feat. Super Greens Face Mask (RRP $65)

Perhaps you're wanting a face mask? Look to nourish your face by using the Super Green Face mask by 'today is ours'. The product is Made in Australia and is not tested on animals which is amazing to know. It really is the perfect anti-oxidant clay mask as it contains Matcha Green tea and is full of rich nutrients and greens. What's interesting to know about the face mask is that it can actually be personalised to suit each skin concern and needs. So for example, you can choose to add coconut water instead of water if you wish.

The key ingredients listed in the product include of the below:
  • Australian Olive Green Clay
  • Australian Wash Blue Clay
  • Australian Beige Clay
  • Zeolite
  • Matcha Green Tea
  • Powdered Rose Petals
  • Powdered Ginger
  • Powdered Oats
  • Spriulina
  • Wheat Grass
  • Barley Grass

To use the mask, simply scoop out one tablespoon of the powder into a ceramic, glass or plastic bowl. (Don't use a metal bowl). Then, slowly stir in the choice of your activator until you get a smooth paste. Next, spread this all over your face (be sure to avoid the eye area). Only leave the mask on for about 10 minutes and look to rinse off with lukewarm water. Be sure to either tone or moisturise your face right after to retain moisture.

Some suggested activators which you could experiment with include:
  • Coconut oil
  • Herbal tea
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Cold pressed juice
  • Mashed Avocado

Overall, the face mask was quite easy and fast to use. Ten minutes passes by really quickly so be sure to put a timer on because you don't want to leave the mask on for longer than that. The feeling I get right after cleansing off the mask is refreshing and rejuvenating. My skin looks visibly cleaner and my pores cleared well - for which I am really impressed about. I don't mind the subtle 'green-tea' scent which really makes it more of a spa-pamper session. As for the product, I have been using it on a weekly basis to ensure that I get that super nourishing feeling that's important in achieving a radiant and healthier looking skin.

Don't fear the green mask! Think of having more nourished skin that glows!

Arbonne launched their new eye-make up collection along with their nourishing facial oil just last month as their new launch of products for Winter.

Who's excited to hear more?

From new eye-shadow palettes to tinted brow creams to their nourishing facial oil...I definitely had so much fun testing out all of these new eye products by Arbonne and I am sure all of you are going to enjoy trying these out too. For more information about their products, you can easily head over here to learn more.

For a full run-down of some these favourites by the Arbonne range, simply scroll below to find out more.

  • QUARTZ/TRUFFLE - (RIGHT) - RRP $40 - This eyeshadow duo features a pale pink and dark brown shade which are matte and satin finishes. The duo palette is refillable and interchangeable, complete with a handy mirror which makes applying eyeshadow on the go easier for you. The pale pink 'Quartz shade' is quite light, I actually swatched this below and it's as close as my skin colour which is why you can't really see it show up on my skin. The brown shade 'truffle' is warm toned and makes a gorgeous and natural shade for your eyes.

  • AMBER/FOREST - (LEFT) - RRP $40 - This eyeshadow duo features both shimmer finishes. Starting with the first shade in 'Forest' which is this gorgeous green eyeshadow that's perfect for a night out. Then, we have the 'Amber' shade which reminds me of a copper tone but it's more on the warm tone side which complements the green 'Forest' shade perfectly well.

  • Arbonne, Shape It Up, Brow Pencil in Dark - (RRP $32) - This lovely brow pencil comes in a very natural shade and the dark shade actually suited my brows well. It helps to easily build shape with its lightweight pencil for which you simply twist up to use the pencil. It's very long-wearing, smudge-proof which means that it's my ideal day to day brow pencil. The Shape It Up brow pencil comes in three shades being light, medium and dark so there's lots of variety there to cater for each skin type. Also, the brow pencil comes with a brow brush on the other end which makes it perfect for all of your brow grooming needs. The brow pencil actually glides onto the brows very easily which makes my life easier when it comes to filling in my brows. The formula is quite soft and is made easily to blend in with a brush. Furthermore, the ingredients contained within the brow pencil include Eyebright extract (which helps to deliver moisturising benefits that soothe any dryness on the eye areas), Hibiscus extract (which helps to promote the appearance of supple and radiant skin) and Larch and Green tea extract (which helps to promote the appearance of fuller looking brows).

  • Arbonne, Shape it Up, Tinted Brow Cream in Light / Medium - (RRP $32) - Featuring a tinted brow cream that is water resistant and smudge-proof making this beauty the ideal brow cream for everyday wear (rain or shine) It contains larch and green tea complex which is essentially what helps to make the brows appear more fuller. There are two shades available from the Arbonne range being the Light/Medium and Medium/Dark. So if you're looking for a brow cream to tame and tint unruly brows, this may be the perfect tinted brow cream for you. It comes in a mini brush which means it's designed to give you a precise control and handle. But why use a tinted brow cream? It's really made to keep and hold your brows in place so it looks perfectly groomed.

  • Arbonne, Prime and Proper, Eye Makeup Primer - (RRP $26) - Some people always ask me why do we use an eye make-up primer? Well that's because you don't want your shadows to crease or fade, hence an eye make-up primer will keep your eyeshadows in place for the whole day. I tried out the Eye Makeup Primer which consists of this creamy and conditioning formula that feels lightweight on the skin. It's a water-resistant primer which prevents any creasing or fading from eyeshadows and actually looks to bring out the colour more of your ideal eyeshadows. The Jambu flower extract helps to diminish any appearances of wrinkles and smooths out the area which preps it perfectly for eyeshadow application. The primer is a nude colour which dries evenly on the skin which goes well under any coloured eyeshadow.

Swatched the Arbonne, eye makeup primer (Above image)

It has a very creamy consistency which goes smoothly on the skin and works wonderfully as a prep for your eye-shadow application.

As a new addition to the Arbonne Intelligence range, we welcome their Nourishing Facial oil which is an amazing product I've tried out so far. It looks to give an instant glow to your face after using it and it comes with a sheer dry oil formula that has been enhanced with "good" ingredients including Omega fattyacids 3 and 6, along with a super antioxidant which supports luminous skin beauty. Essentially the Nourishing Facial Oil looks to increase hydration and moisture to your skin whilst improving the skin's texture so that it looks more radiant and toned. It's made suitable for ALL SKIN TYPES out there so that's ideal if you have skin concerns and not too sure whether this product is right for you. There are no fragrances to the facial oil which is great and is non-comedogenic and dermatologist tested. Also, the product is 100% Vegan and has been formulated without gluten.

  • Replenish your skin's natural lipid barrier with moisturisation so that it has a soft, smooth and healthy glow to it,
  • You get an incredible amount of moisturisation which improves the appearance of your skin's texture, tone and firmness - ideal for reducing lines and wrinkles over time,
  • Boost to collagen through moisturisation so that you see tighter and firm skin.

Since using this facial oil, I have noticed an improved appearance to my skin's texture where it feels and looks much softer and smoother. Any dry patches are no longer noticeable thanks for the incredible amount of moisturisation and hydration that this facial oil looks to deliver to the skin. My face looks much healthier and radiant which is ideal because I am prepping my skin for my big special day in a few months time. Having radiant skin is so important and I am so glad that I came across the Nourishing Facial Oil by Arbonne

Simply apply 3 drops onto clean face and neck at night. You can choose to use this twice a day but I only apply this product at night.

Thought I'd try out a new nail brand called Faby Nails. They are styled in Italy by using USA formula and Made in France. Overall thoughts so far? Not bad!

FABY Nail laquer range is the way to go if you're wanting long-lasting formula and stunning shades. The drying time for one layer is about 3-5 minutes, and most importantly it lasts for about one week, considering that you have a base coat, two or three coats of Faby and then a top coat on top of all of that. I tried out some some fantastic shades, from optical white to pale pinks to bright dark blue shades. As for the lighter shades which feature the white and pink colours, they make a great selection for weddings and events - especially for the bridal party crew. The nail lacquers are definitely made with quality ingredients which is why the product lasts long on the nails. They're a great choice to rock if you're wanting to try out a different brand because I definitely would recommend for you to check their nail lacquer selection out.

Get your fabulous nails on today using the Faby Nail Lacquer range today here
