Hello beauties,

How gorgeous are these lovely matte shades by Rimmel London. Featuring 'The Only 1' Matte Lipsticks, I've swatched these down for you guys to check out...more below x

Since last week I have been dying to try Rimmel London's The Only 1 Matte Lipsticks and finally I took some time to sit down and swatch them all for you guys to see. If I could sum it up in a few words about these new matte lipsticks, it has to be incredibly pigmented and it feels super smooth on the lips.

These matte lipsticks are very long-lasting on the lipsticks and most importantly they feel very comfortable to wear all day or whenever you're out at a social event. These are also very moisturising and vibrant looking. The lipsticks glide on so easily onto the lips which means that it has a very creamy and comfortable texture for all day wear. You will realise that the lipsticks come "slanted" as this enables for a smoother and neater application which is convenient and handy.

I tried out nine vibrant shades ranging from neutrals, pinks, browns and even a gorgeous purple that pops with so much colour. If you want to make a statement, definitely check out the shade 800 - Run The Show. There really is a high coverage within one stroke and it definitely lives up to its hype of being a very creamy and pigmented matte lipstick. As for the scents, it's of a fruity and sweet kind of aroma which is pleasant and I don't mind it at all.

Overall, these are definitely worth the hype because they are long-lasting making it perfect for whenever you want to make a statement for your lips as they feel incredibly moisturising and smooth for the lips. They come in a lovely red lipstick packaging with the particular shade reference near the rim of it. This is convenient because you can easily grab the preferred colour shade within less than a minute.

Featuring Rimmel London's The Only 1 Matte lipsticks.

  • 750 - Look Who's Talking - Featuring a chocolate brown shade that's perfect for the Fall weather. For this particular shade, make sure to start with a lip pencil that matches the shade.

  • 200 - Salute - This is a light pink shade that's very subtle and gorgeous to wear on the lips. It suits any occasion and it's not too "intense" looking hence can be worn for everyday.

  • 700 - Trendsetter - This is more of a beige nude tone which is ideal if you're going for that bare look for your lips.

  • 810 - The Matte Factor - This is a lovely dark pink shade that's perfect for an evening night out or for Valentines Day coming up. I found this shade to be extremely pigmented on the lips and the shade simply stood out from the crowd.

  • 500 - Take the State - Featuring an intense bold red shade that's closer to the pink tones. It really stands out on the lips and would suit both light and dark skin tones.

  • 610 - High Flyer - If there's a Kylie Jenner dupe, this has to be the shade as it's a lovely neutral pink and brown shade. This shade would be so perfect for a casual outfit, jeans and a top.

  • 120 - Call The Shots - This shade reminds me of a pink and peachy shade that is very girly.

  • 110 - Leader of the Pink - Featuring a creamy pink shade similar to the Barbie pink colour. It looks wonderful on the lips and would be pretty to wear with a nice dress.

  • 800 - Run the Show - Finally a pop of colour that really stands out. This gorgeous purple shade is bold looking and can get a little patchy but with the right lip liner, you can definitely look to pull off a hot look for your lips.

Swatched - see the above for a detailed reference of the shades.

So there you have it guys...
