Happy weekends all,

When it comes to winding down with a cup of Chai tea or even hot cocoa, Arkadia offers a range that naturally antioxidants and does not contain any artificial colours, sweeteners or preservatives.

Arkadia, is an Australian made and owned beverage brand that offers cafe style indulgent drinks that's perfect for an afternoon tea break. They are well stocked at leading supermarkets including Coles and Woolworths and I tried out three particular products from their range being: Chai Tea Matcha, Drinking Chocolate 24% Cocoa and Chai Tea Spice (which is their latest release).

The Arkadia beverage team have been creating exciting flavours for up to 20 years so you can imagine their great understanding of ingredients and flavours in looking to create a great cup of tasting chai tea.

I'm a big tea lover myself and nothing beats winding down on my lounge with a cup of Chai tea or hot cocoa in hand...especially when it's a Sunday afternoon.

So let's get straight into the results of what I thought about the range:
  • Chai Tea Spice - RRP $6.99 - Starting with their latest beverage release, this range follows a traditional Indian chai tea recipe with a black tea base - along with a secret blend of exotic flavours and aromatic spices. It's also 98% fat free so can literally have one cup a day. I simply placed two teaspoons of this tea into a standard cup, followed with hot water. I didn't have to add any sugars because trust me, it has just the right amount of sweetness to it. Knowing that other chai teas can be overpowering, this particular tea was nowhere near it and it's great because that means it's bearable. The Chai Tea Spice makes a lovely cuppa for an afternoon tea break.
  • Chai Tea Matcha - RRP $6.99 - I've never tried a combination Chai Tea and Matcha before, but now thanks to Arkadia, I was able to experience that. This tea is 99% fat free and is full of your necessary antioxidants from the green tea and can be enjoyed as a normal cup of tea or a frappe style. This product is 100% natural which means that no artificial colours, sweeteners or preservatives have been added, making it better for you to enjoy on a day to day basis. I quite enjoyed this cup of tea although it was a tad sweet for my liking so I am going to resort to just half or one teaspoon of the Chai Tea Matcha.
  • Drinking Chocolate - RRP $4.40 - This hot chocolate tastes exactly like a cafe style blend which is why I somewhat enjoyed this drink. It has a very smooth and creamy texture to it and I can really taste the rich chocolate which is delightful. There's no need to add sugar into it because I felt that it had the right amount of sweetness level to it. If you're interested in looking to try a premium blend, then do check this hot chocolate out the next time you're at Coles or Woolworths
