Hello beauties,

Happy Friday! I hope you're all well and excited for the weekends? In this post, I look to share my end of the week interesting beauty finds featuring the Lanolips Tinted Balm and The Original Gummy Blender. Curious? Check out the below to learn more.

Wow...Friday has finally arrived and what better way to finish it off with my amazing beauty finds for the week. Featuring the Lanolips Tinted Lip Balms in SPF30, these are great for the miserable and cold weather that's lurking around Sydney, Australia at the moment. You will be pleased to know that the Tinted Lip Balms by Lanolips are incredibly nourishing and hydrating for the lips.

Furthermore, I have finally tried out The Original Gummy Blender which has been highly rated on social media over these past few months. Does it really live up to its hype? This high-grade silicon make up applicator is perfect if you don't want to make a mess with your cream concealers and foundations...but keep on reading to find out whether it worked or not.

Let's get right into my full thoughts x

Lanolips Tinted Balm in SPF30 in Rhubarb (Top swatch) and Rose (Bottom swatch), RRP $14.99

I always love a good tinted lip balm because you get the benefit of having nourishing lips along with a tint of colour to it. The first time I tried out Lanolips Tinted Lip Balm in SPF30, I was impressed by the formulation and how nourishing it made my lips feel. It offers lip conditioning benefits of lanolin and Vitamin E which leaves your lips feeling softer and hydrated. Plus, you get the little extra sun protection as it contains SPF30 which is perfect fir everyday wear. The colour shades of Rhubarb and Rose are very natural looking when applied onto the lips. It doesn't have a sticky feeling to it which is why I've been applying it onto my lips for everyday wear (It's soooo nourishing). The texture comes in a buttery consistency which blends easily onto the lips. The lip balm looks to stay on the lips for a couple of hours or so and I'd highly recommend for you to pick this up if you suffer from dry lips.

The Original Gummy Blender,
RRP $12

I'm sure some of you have heard about the silicon make up applicator trending through social media and Youtube. I tried The Original Gummy Blender (RRP for $12) and to see what the fuss was all about. The silicone make up applicator looks to blend your cream foundations, concealers and anything that comes in the form of liquids. You could say it's an alternative for your brushes and sponges because I found that it doesn't use as much foundation as I would with a brush (Talk about minimising product wastage!). This is because the Gummy Blender doesn't soak up as much product as you would with other beauty sponges or your usual make up brushes. Another positive that I found about the silicone make up applicator is that it's super easy to clean, simply use soap and water to rinse and VOILA it's like brand new again. However, for beauty sponges and make-up brushes, it takes some time for them to dry overnight.

So when it comes to blending with using the Gummy Blender, it works well for lighter coverage products rather than heavy foundations and concealers. You can look to use this product for contouring or spot concealing because it doesn't require heavy product usage.

As compared to other beauty sponges, the silicone blender is definitely more durable. (Who here has gone through so many beauty sponges?) As for the shape of the Gummy Blender, I only wished that it came in a larger circular form, so that I can look to apply it more evenly onto the face as well as cover more surface space. But...I guess the current shape makes it easy to get into hard to reach areas, allowing you to conceal those areas more effectively and easily.

The Gummy Blender doesn't harbour any bacteria as compared to using other beauty sponges over time which is a great thing to consider about it. For application of your usual foundations and concealers, I felt that the Gummy Blender required more dabbing motions in order to blend well. Comparing this to other beauty sponges, it definitely uses less product and blends in naturally well on the skin.

Overall, I was able to tackle the Gummy Blender with ease throughout my make-up application. It does require more blending and tapping motions as compared to using a make-up brush and other sponges. The great thing is that you're not wasting product which is ideal if you're using expensive foundations and concealers.

Have you guys tried any of the above mentioned products?

Let me know on your thoughts,

Livs x
