Hello beauties,

OPI recently launched their new Fiji Collection for Spring/Summer which features an array of vibrant and summery shades that are long-lasting on the nails.
OPI's take on their Fiji collection is inspired by Fiji itself - the perfect destination to relax and rewind from all of the stress. OPI looks to capture the essence of Fiji - so that means from the land, native flora, ocean and of course the beautiful country. You will have noticed the bright pops of colour among their new range which adds a bit of personality to their shades and makes it interesting to rock on the nails.

The formula of OPI's new Fiji collection is amazing and I found no clumps whilst doing my nails. The nail polishes are very quick drying and lasts for up to about 4 days on average before you'll start to see some chipping. Make sure to seal the colour with a top coat to ensure longevity of the nail colour. As for the number of coats, I found that I only needed one base, two coats of of the nail colour and finished off with a top coat. So that's four coats in total in order to make the nail colour last for a few days.

Swatches of the OPI Fiji Collection

From left to right: Two Timing the Zones, No Tan Lines, Living on the Bula-vard, Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet, Suzi Without A Paddle, I Can Never Hut Up and Super Trop-i-cal-i-fiji-istic.

OPI Fiji Collection #1
  • Two Timing The Zones - Featuring a pretty pink shade that's so vibrant looking and gorgeous on anyone. I only required two coats to get a solid even colour.
  • No Tan Lines - You need three coats for this golden yellow tone and is so perfect for a Spring or Summer's day. This shade is slightly darker than the bottle so it's not too bright looking on the nails.
  • Living on the Bula-vard - This is gorgeous dramatic coral shade which looks stunning. Only two coats is required for this nail polish and I love the overall finish as it reminds me of a freshly made fruit juice.
  • Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet - Wow...if you're after a super bright and sunny shade, you'll be talking about this one. Its yellow and bright, period. You would need at least three coats for an even finish.
  • Suzi Without a Paddle - It's always the brighter shades that require more coats and I wonder why? This lovely light blue shade needs at least 3 coats but it's so worth it in the end. This bright blue shade really makes your nails pop!
  • I Can Never Hut Up - This is an iridescent edgy grey shade with a hint of turquoise shimmer. The shimmer is subtle but I love how simple and easy it was to apply this onto my nails, without any major messes which is amazing.
  • Super Trop-i-fiji-istic - This blue shade mimics the ocean at Fiji and the formula is really on point.
