[TRYING TO RID BLEMISH PRONE SKIN? NEW PRODUCT ALERT FEATURING ALCOHOL-FREE BLEMISH CONTROL PADS DESIGNED TO CREATE A CLEARER COMPLEXION]

Hello everyone,

Have you tried blemish control pads in looking to target blemish prone skin? Medik8 offers an alcohol-free blemish treatment which helps you to achieve a clearer skin complexion.

Did you know 70-80% of adults still suffer from frequent blemishes and breakouts? A good method in looking to target blemish prone skin is to have a consistent skincare routine (that does not irritate your skin) and is designed for spot-prone skin so that it won't clog your pores and control oily skin. I recently stumbled across the Blemish Control Pads by Medik8 which are alcohol free and a great way to decongest blemish prone skin. My forehead and chin are mostly my problematic areas and I have been breaking out here and there which can be due to a number of factors being stress, diet, environment and much more. I looked to try out these alcohol-free pads to see what it could do for my skin over the next few weeks. I'll explain how I went with these blemish control pads right below.

Medik8 Blemish Control Pads (60 pads) - RRP $46.95

We all get breakouts due to excess sebum which clogs the opening of a hair follicle and cannot reach the surface of the skin. This in a sense allows for the skin bacteria to multiply causing acne to form. So that's why having blemish control pads can come in handy as they are an effective all-in-one clarifying treatment for anyone looking to improve the skin and prevent future breakouts. The cotton pads are super soft and come pre-soaked with 2% salicylic acid. This helps to exfoliate the skin's surface by looking to penetrate deep into the skin removing any impurities on the skin such as dirt or oil.

The cotton pads smell refreshing (almost like something minty) and they don't look to irritate the skin during treatment which is great. I would have to say that these are very gentle to use on the skin and it's an effective way in looking to prevent further skin bacteria from spreading. Another interesting factor to note about these blemish pads is that they are alcohol free which means that it won't be drying on the skin - making it suitable for those who have sensitive skin too. I know so many other branded blemish pads out there that do contain alcohol and sometimes this can be too harsh for the skin which is why if you have sensitive type skin, then it's best to opt for an alcohol-free version.

So we know that the blemish control pads already contain salicylic acid which works to unclog and exfoliate the skin and pores. Then we have Allantonin which helps to soothe and heal inflamed or irritated skin. Last but not least we have Glycerin which is an effective humectant which helps to really moisturise the skin.

I would be using these wipes twice a day during morning and night after I cleanse my skin. After applying these pads onto any blemish prone-areas, I would the allow it to dry first before looking to apply my serum and moisturiser over the rest of my skin at night. Overall, since I have been using these pads over the few weeks now, I could noticeably see a visible reduction of breakouts on my skin. It has definitely helped to "kill" most of the bacteria on my skin and prevent further acne from forming which is ideal. However, in order to maintain clearer skin for longer, I would need to stick to a consistent skin routine and ensure that my skin is always free from excess sebum or oils.
