Hello beauties,

Who's excited for the long weekend? Finally, that time has come and there's no excuse to relax and pamper right at home with a facial mask(especially when the weather in Sydney is so miserable...

I finally took the time out of my schedule to simply relax and apply on a purifying mask by QV. It has been a few weeks since I've used a facial mask and this is a good reminder to keep this on your bathroom counter so that you remember to use it on a weekly basis.

Thanks to QV, my winter skincare weekly routine is sorted as their Purifying Mask works wonders to unclog, cleanse and moisturise my skin. Also I looked to try out their latest Ultra Calming Moisturiser which is basically a daily moisturiser that's made to soothe and calm your skin - ideal for those with sensitive skin.

If you're curious to learn more about what I thought about both of these skincare essentials, then make sure to keep on reading...

Purifying Mask, RRP $13.95

Let's talk about this rich clay mask that's made for those with sensitive skin. It uses a gentle kaolin based formula that works to remove any excess dirt and oil, leaving your skin feeling cleansed and softer feeling. It also includes Safflower Oil which helps to moisturise your skin at the same time so it doesn't leave it feeling completely dry. There are no harsh fragrances or colours present in this particular mask, so for me it definitely got my approval. When applied onto the face, you can really feel the mask drawing out your impurities from deep under the skin.

I find that this face mask is best used right after a warm shower or cleansing your face. This ensures that the face mask seeps right into the pores, cleansing it well and helps to reveal smoother and softer looking skin. This is an affordable option if you're on a budget and don't want to invest in higher end skincare products.

Ultra Calming Moisturiser,
RRP $17.95

Next, I tried their Ultra Calming Moisturiser which is designed for any irritated or sensitive type skin. It claims to leave your skin feeling hydrated for up to 24 hours, which is slightly true because I applied on this moisturiser underneath my make-up and it really made a difference to my foundation and concealers. In saying that, my make-up complexion looked hydrated and smoother looking. The Ultra Calming lotion contains Avemide 15 which is essentially an Oat Kernel extract which helps to calm and soothe the skin. The moisturiser is non-greasy and very lightweight which means that it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. It feels comfortable to wear on the skin all day long and what I love about this is that it absorbs very quickly onto the skin. If you happen to get redness on the skin, the ultra calming moisturiser by QV will definitely look to soothe it out and is so perfect for Winter.

What are your thoughts on the above mentioned QV products?

Have you used any of these before?

Let me know on your thoughts,
