Want to learn how I achieved smoother skin and a healthier glow?

If you don't have the time to go for a facial on the weekend, what better way to sit back and DIY at home. Recently, I tried out some exfoliation products by Skinstitut as my skin was feeling dry, dull and flaky. The products include their Glycolic Scrub 14%, Enzymatic Micro Peel and the Eye Believe.

I'm not a skincare expert but from my own personal experience, I do believe that exfoliation is important for clearing away dead skin cells. If we don't exfoliate, then dead skin cells start to pile up unevenly on the skin's surface which is what gives you dry and rough looking skin. Exfoliation helps to reveal fresher and younger looking skin (something I learned from my skin dermatologist in the past).

Here are the products I'd highly recommend to achieve healthier and glowing skin...

Glycolic Scrub 14%, Skinstitut

For a deep invigorating scrub which cleanses and exfoliates, I'd highly recommend their Glycolic scrub. Hands down it's the best exfoliating scrub I've tried to date. What's more is that you can use it on the face and body. The scrub contains Glycolic Acid, Jojoba Beans (making it super ocean friendly) and Tea Tree Oil, which clears and brightens up the skin at the same time. Other skincare benefits include acne treatment, congestion, pigmentation spots and even prevents ingrown hairs

As it contains 14% of Glycolic scrub, always ensure to do a patch test first to see how your skin reacts to the product. I would use this product for about 30 seconds on the skin before rinsing off with lukewarm water. After using the scrub my skin felt so supple and smooth. If you're after a healthy glow as well as a deep cleanse of the skin, then definitely check out this scrub.

With continued use of the scrub you can look to expect a refine texture of the skin, less blemishes/breakouts/blackheads as well as less congested skin.

Enzymatic Micro Peel, Skinstitut

For a smoother and brighter skin complexion, you can look to use the Enzymatic Micro Peel. This product doesn't contain any granules and it uses fruit enzymes which leaves your skin feeling hydrated, softened and refreshed. I usually use the facial peel after I've scrubbed my face with using the Glycolic Scrub. I would leave the peel on the face for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.

With continued use of the Micro Peel, you can look to expect smoother and brighter looking skin.

Eye Believe, Skinstitut

Last but not least I always look to finish a skincare routine with a good eye cream/serum. I've been trying Eye Believe by Skinstitut and it features a nice serum texture. It works to minimise the appearance of any fine lines, puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. What I love about this eye serum is that it contains a blend of hyaluronic acid and peptides which help to relax and soften the skin texture as well as boost moisture for the skin.

This product isn't suitable for irritated or sensitive skin. As I have normal to combination skin, I felt that it did a great job to reduce my eye puffiness and dark circles. For maximised results, look to use both morning and night with only a pea sized amount.

Have you tried out any of the above?
