I'm constantly snacking which is why I decided to whip up some healthy chocolate balls... 
Get ready to devour some tasty and healthy chocolate balls! I tried out a new protein range called Formulated For You which offers a range of premium meal replacements, supplements, etc. I tried out their products which includes their Cacao, Whey Protein Concentrate and Acai blend of powders. These are super handy to have when you're looking to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. You can choose to blend them into a smoothie or look to whip up some healthy chocolate protein balls. They're great for those who want to consume less sugar and consider a healthier snack option.

Protein & Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls 

You will need: 
Whey Protein Concentrate
Raw Cacao Powder 
Vanilla Essence 
Peanut Butter
Coconut Flakes
Coconut Oil 
Medjool Dates 

What you need to do: 
  1. Mix 1 cup of Whey Protein Concentrate and 1 cup of Raw Cacao powder into a bowl. Add 1 cup of coconut oil and 1 tsp of vanilla essence to the mix. Mix with using a wooden spoon. You should start to see the mixture become sticky, this is the consistency you want (not runny). 
  2. Using a food processor add about 15-20 medjool dates and 2 tbsp of boiling water to it. Blend for about 10 seconds. 
  3. Transfer the blended and crushed medjool dates to your bowl of powder and mix thoroughly. Add the coconut flakes into the mix and stir. If you find that your mix is too runny because of the coconut oil, look to add more cacao powder or coconut flakes to make it a thicker consistency. 
  4. Have your baking paper and tray ready for the balls. Roll up about 1 tbsp of the mixture and make a little hole in the middle. Using a teaspoon, dollop a little amount of peanut butter into the centre. Close the hole by filling in with the rest of the mixture. Lay them neatly onto the tray. 
  5. Place the trays into the freezer and leave for about 30 minutes. 
  6. After 30 minutes, your balls are ready to enjoy. 
  7. Store the chocolate balls into an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
