PROTECT AND NOURISH THE HANDS & FACE FOR THIS WINTER: MY MUST HAVE HANDBAG ESSENTIALS

This winter can wreak havoc with our skin especially with our face and hands. 

Look to protect and nourish the skin with some of my favourite must-have essentials including the Tough Hands by DU'It (there are two variations being the For Her - For Dry, Irritated Hands and For Dry, Cracked and Irritated Skin) as well as their Vitamin E Face Cream (which is a lifesaver when it comes to dry skin). 

Tough Hands For Her - For Dry, Irritated Hands (DU'IT) 

Since first using this hand cream, I am AMAZED by how effective it is for my dry hands. It's no doubt a potent and hydrating hand cream which contains anti-ageing properties. It leaves the hands feeling well moisturised and hydrated (even through washing hands) which is why I now carry a bottle of this miracle cream in my handbag. 

VE+ Vitamin E Face Cream (DU'IT) 

For a moisturising cream which contains about 12% of Vitamin E, it just means that it's super effective in looking to rehydrate and soothe the skin. This face cream leaves my skin feeling soft, radiant and supple which is a great everyday cream to use. 

Tough Hands - For Dry, Cracked Irritated Hands (DU'IT) 

Last but not least we have the Tough Hands - For Dry, Cracked and Irritated Hands. This bottle comes in more of a gel-lotion texture which feels light and more watery based after application. It's definitely considered as a heavy duty cream and it's ideal for incredibly dry hands. The hand cream acts a barrier against other harsh environmental factors which may dry out our hands. Overall, I felt that this hand cream felt super nice and comfortable - so ideal for those who are constantly washing their hands.

UNBOXING THE LATEST BELLABABY BOX FOR JUNE!

• L'Occitane Shea Baby Massage Balm (sample size) - Wow, I was actually surprised when I noticed a L'Occitane sample of their Baby Massage balm. It's perfect for massage your little one as it contains 70% of shea butter which incredibly moisturises the skin - perfect for this winter. I will most definitely be repurchasing the full sized products as I'm so impressed with the overall quality. 

• Mustela Hydra Bebe Body Lotion (sample size) - I've used the Mustela baby range before so for Bellababy to include a sample I was definitely happy with the choice. I love the sample size as it's perfect for travelling and it leaves baby's skin feeling so soft and supple. 

• Mater Baby Wash (sample size) - Another familiar brand I've tried out before and I am so impressed with their products as they're gentle and effective on skin. This cute sample sized baby wash is a soap-free cleanser which is essential for those suffering from dry and eczema skin. 

• Boon Nursh Silicone Bottle (full size) - Apparently this is Australia's first 100% silicone bottle which makes its unique. I'm actually curious to see how this bottle will work for baby Jordan, and whether this will reduce colic. 

• Only Organic Mango Coconut & Quinoa (full size) - If your baby is on the puree and solids, what better way to introduce them to yummy foods. My bub completely loves tis range as it contains a delicious blend of mango, dairy-free coconut milk and super healthy quinoa. These sachets are perfect for feeding on the go - just remember your baby's spoon as it makes life easier. 

• Pixi Shea Butter Tinted Lip Balm - Can I just say how much I love the PIXI brand especially when it comes to their cleansing oil?! I am amazed by how lightweight and moisturising their lip balm feels. It's definitely a must-have in your bag! 

• Luiere Bio-Cellulose Mask - I love face masks as they're refreshing and contain a whole heap of product which is designed to leave your skin looking repaired and rejuvenated. 

• QV Intensive Moisturising Cleanser - Another favourite product of mine, this cleanser is a must if you have dry, itchy skin.

TAKING A DEEPER DIVE INTO MY SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR THIS WINTER

Want to learn more about my skincare routine? 

Recently I have been incorporating some brand new skincare products into my everyday routine featuring La Roche-Posay and Skinceuticals. 

My current skin falls somewhere between normal to acne-prone skin, and this varies from season to season. 

Here are some skincare newbies that have become a part of my everyday routine: 

Effaclar Gel Moussant Purifiant, Purifying Foaming Gel (For oil sensitive skin), 

La Roche-Posay 

I love everything about foaming gel cleansers which is why this product has made its way into my skincare routine. The Purifying Foaming Gel is actually ideal for those with acne-prone skin, and as I tend to get acne from time to time - this is the perfect cleanser for me. I found that this product left my skin feeling cleansed and refreshed. It doesn't leave the skin feeling irritated or dry and it's absolutely a gentle product which has worked for my oily skin. 

Effaclar Duo, Anti-imperfections, La Roche-Posay 

This product is perfect for those with acne-prone skin (like myself) as it helps to clear excess sebum and clogged pores. The Effaclar Duo (+) works as a corrective unclogging care product for acne-prone skin. Immediately after using this product you will notice that your skin feels nourished, hydrated and instantly mattified. Pop on this product onto your skin before you sleep and overnight you will notice less redness and improved skin texture. Plus, skin is left feeling super hydrated which is so perfect for the dry weather. 

Effaclar Masque, Sebo Controlling Mask Anti-Shine, La Roche-Posay 

This mask works to cleanse any impurities from the skin and without leaving any excess sebum left on the skin. I love how this mask gives the skin a mattifying effect which is great if you have oily looking skin. It works to curb any 'shine' from the skin and leaves your skin feeling refreshed, cleansed and protected. 

Phloretin CF Gel, Serum in a Gel, Skinceuticals 

For a topical Vitamin C serum during the day, you definitely need to check out the Phloretin CF Gel by Skinceuticals. It works to provide protection against harsh environmental aggressors which can lead to skin discolouration, uneven skin tone and fine lines. This product is perfect for if you're looking to achieve smoother and refined skin,

CRYSTAL RETINAL - THE NEW GENERATION OF VITAMIN A - SKINCARE THOUGHTS

The new generation of Vitamin A is finally here. 

Award Winning brand Medik8 recently launched two new strengths (0.01% and 0.03, which are much more gentler on skin) for their brand portfolio featuring the Crystal Retinal range. Crystal Retinal works synergistically with the skin to help promote cell turnover. The product has been clinically proven to be 11x faster than retinol. 

Recently I tried and tested their Crystal Retinal 1 (which offers a strength of 0.01% and of a gentle strength retinaldehyde) and basically it works to fight the signs of ageing of the skin. Furthermore it works to give your skin more of a toned complexion. To apply on the product, after cleansing my skin in the evening, I would blend a small amount over my face and décolletage right before my moisturisers/hydrators. When it comes to using the Crystal Retinal, it's best to use it on a gradual basis. So for instance when I first used the product, I applied it onto my skin once every week. Also, please note that it's essential to wear sunscreen during the day while using the product.

SKINCARE ESSENTIALS TO HELP FIGHT ROSACEA

MY THOUGHTS ON THE LIMITED EDITION BURT'S BEES CHAI TEA MOISTURISING LIP BALM

Care for some chai flavoured lip balm anyone? 

Get ready for this cold and chilly season because it's all about protecting and moisturising the lips. Burt's Bees recently launched their newest limited edition Chai Tea Moisturising Lip Balm.
